Objective:

The aim of the project is to improve the quality and attractiveness of the apprenticeship system for vocational training in the metal and electrical industries in the cross-border area. The project activities will target students, companies, schools and business associations that co-create formal and informal modes of dual vocational education in Slovenia and Austria. The project aims to prevent a shortage of skilled workers in the metalworking and electrical industries.

Main activities:

  1. SETTING UP A SECTORAL NETWORK IN THE METAL AND ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES FOR THE INTRODUCTION OF THE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION MODEL

– Establishment of a sectoral network in the metal and electrical industries to test the additional qualification model

– Analysis of the evaluation of the apprenticeship system in Austria and Slovenia

– Concept for the introduction of a new model of additional competences in the metal and electrical industry in Slovenia

  1. UPGRADING THE CONTENT OF APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING

– Evaluation of existing content and needs analysis in apprenticeship training

– Development of new content for apprenticeships

– Pilot implementation of the Skills+ catalogue of learning content

  1. UPGRADING SKILLS FOR RECRUITERS

– Survey on needs and trends of HR managers and trainers/mentors for the workforce of the future

– Development of a toolbox for human resources management in the metalworking and electrical industries

– Testing of Skills+ tools
